Summary: Waste management in large companies is becoming increasingly important. Waste resulting directly or indirectly from the production process has very different values, importance and characteristics, which need to be processed properly. The lack of processors sufficient to handle a wide range of wastes has been shown to limit the sustainability levels of this reverse logistics chain. Thus, this research aims to evaluate the conditions for the development of a chain of waste of large industrial companies, based on theories and studies such as the Supplier Development approach, hitherto used upstream for be applied downstream. The research is based on primary data on industrial waste management, on the survey of environmental legislation for some types of industrial waste, on interviews and questionnaires applied to generators and
buyers and possible buyers of industrial waste - important elements in the structuring of this logistics chain - that were analyzed using PLS, SPSS and Process software. The results offer tools and insights to waste generating companies to win and maintain a closer and more efficient relationship with partners interested in their waste.
